Fundraising
THIS YEAR'S CHOSEN CHARITIES ARE:
THE GRAPEVINE PROJECT: They run a community cafe and a wide range of support groups, activities and a one-to-one counselling service to help people in the High Peak cope with mental health and emotional problems. Grapevine Project helps people to move on through participation in their groups, activities or through voluntary work in their office, cafe, allotment or in the community.
THE SAMARITANS (BUXTON BRANCH): Samaritans is a confidential emotional support service for anyone in the UK and Ireland. The service is available 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. Volunteers offer support by responding to phone calls, emails and letters. Alternatively people can drop in to a branch to have a face to face meeting. Our fundraising will go directly to our local branch here in Buxton.
